2012: First Science Olympiad in Switzerland

Mathematics from A (algebra) to Z (number theory) in Solothurn: From 6-12 September 2012, 60 young mathematics talents from 10 European countries met in the Ambassadors' City to solve tricky tasks alone or in a team at the Central European Mathematics Olympiad (MEMO).

SPO Semifinalists at the Zurich Philosophy Festival

On Saturday, January 24, several young volunteers accompanied this year’s semifinalists of the Swiss Philosophy Olympiad to the Zurich Philosophy Festival. Special guests at the festival were Filipa Lüthy and Joshua Freiermuth, last year’s winners of SPO.

Our talents: Gymnase de Bussigny

The Gymnase de Bussigny has been awarded the 2025 Newcomer School Award. This award honours the highest increase in participation in the Science Olympiads. Mr Daniel Gardini and Ms Célia Pittet talk about promoting Olympiads and other extracurricular activities at their school in Vaud.
