Results of the first round

This year 649 students took part in the first round of the Physics Olympiad. 126 of them received an invitation to the preparation camp and second round. The threshold for a direct qualification was 9.4 points out of a maximum of 22 points.

What now?

Practice makes perfect - if your score wasn’t enough to reach the second round you can try again next year. The topics you’ll study in school will raise your chances for next time.

 

If you qualified the preparation camp in Vordemwald (17.11 - 22.11) and the second round (15.01) are next.

Training Camp 2020 at EPFL

Between the 14th and 16th of February, the traditional training camp of the Physics Olympiad took place at the EPFL. While the latter was getting prepared for a festive weekend, twenty-two participants from every corner of Switzerland converged on the campus to improve their knowledge of physics.

From 600 participants down to 28. Over 600 students took on the challenge of the Physics Olympiad. 126 made it to the second round and 28 of them qualified for the final.
