European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad 2017
Zürich, Switzerland
From the 6th to the 12th April 2017, the sixth EGMO inspired young women with a shared passion for maths. We were proud to welcome 168 contestants from 43 countries (33 European and 10 non-European) and a total of 271 guests, making EGMO 2017 the largest to date.
Organizers
EGMO 2017 was organized by the Swiss Mathematical Olympiad, member of Science Olympiad Switzerland, and hosted by the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich.
Final report
The final report summarizes not just the achievements of the organizers but, in particular, the challenges encountered along the way. We hope that it will provide future organizers with best-practice experiences from behind the stage, delivering insight into the scale and diversity of the tasks that had to be completed to make the EGMO 2017 a success.
