Olympiad 2019: First round

In the beginning of May the first round of the Geography Olympiad took place. The examination was conducted via the online platform Socrative and involved 39 questions from all disciplines of Geography that the pupils needed to answer. 661 participants from 23 schools took part and proved their Geography skills. Despite increased efforts of the organisers, there were unfortunately no participants from the Romandie and Ticino. All pupils with a minimum score of 22 are invited to the “ESRI GeOlympic summer camp” in the Swiss National Parc and are qualified for the Swiss final at the Gymnasium Neufeld, Bern in autumn 2019.
