In Bulgarien fand vom 27. Juni bis 3. Juli die Europäische Geographie-Olympiade statt. Rund 100 Jugendliche aus 13 Ländern stellten ihr Wissen unter Beweis - unter anderem zum Bergsturz von Blatten. Für die zwei Schweizer Teilnehmer diente die Teilnahme auch als Vorbereitung auf die iGeo im August.
