10 Schweizer Teams qualifizierten sich für das Open Championship der World Robot Olympiad (WRO) in Brescia in Italien; zwei von ihnen standen am Schluss auf dem Podest.

Schweizer programmieren sich aufs Siegerpodest vor den Pyramiden
Vom 1. bis zum 8. September fand in Alexandria, Ägypten, die 36. Internationale Informatik-Olympiade statt. 362 Jugendliche aus über 90 Ländern lösten mit Algorithmen das Rätsel der Sphinx und wurden in Gizeh mit Edelmetall geschmückt. Das Schweizer Team gewann mehrere Medaillen.

Erste Bronze im Team für Schweizer Mathematiktalente an europäischem Wettbewerb
Mathe-Genies sind Einzelgänger? Die Mitteleuropäische Mathematik-Olympiade widerlegt dieses Klischee. Der jährliche Wettbewerb, der zuletzt vom 24. - 30. August im ungarischen Szeged stattfand, lässt 60 Schüler*innen aus 10 Ländern nicht nur einzeln, sondern auch im Team antreten.

Vorstandssitzung: Astronomie-Olympiade, Jahresabschluss und Chancengerechtigkeit
Am 19.09.2024 trafen sich Freiwillige von allen 10 Olympiaden zur Verbands-Vorstandssitzung an der ETH Zürich. Diskutiert wurde insbesondere der Mitgliedsantrag der jüngsten Wissenschafts-Olympiade in der Schweiz: der Astronomie-Olympiade.
